The average paper consumption per person per year is estimated to be just over 120 pounds of paper.  About 28% (or 34 pounds) of this is used in printing documents.  This is the equivalent of about 7 reams of paper for each office employee every year. Not only is using all this paper bad for the environment, it costs money!  Printing so much paper takes away natural and economic green!  There is another way...

Portable Document Format (PDF) is the de facto standard for the secure and reliable distribution and exchange of electronic documents and forms around the world.  PDF files are a type of document that can be stored on the computer, be moved around the internet or email, cannot be modified without permission, and do not use paper.

Everyone can read these PDF documents for free.  Adobe provides the software to read PDF files free of charge. PDF files can be read on cell phones and hand held computers.  PDF files can be sent via email and read as a web page on the internet.

You can download Adobe's free PDF reader here. Adobe Reader software is the global standard for electronic document sharing. It is the only PDF file viewer that can open and interact with all PDF documents. Use Adobe Reader to view, search, digitally sign, verify, print, and collaborate on information in PDF files.

There are additional advantages to spending less money on paper using tools like CutePDF and Adobe Reader with ProfitMAKER.  PDF files can be easily copied, but not easily modified.  This means you know the contents of the document will remain consistent when you email the documents, keep them in folders on your network, have multiple copies distributed to various people in your organization, to your customers, and to your vendors.
